If you have some leftover cake from your child’s birthday or any other anniversary, don’t throw it away! Instead, put it in the freezer and make some delicious and fresh cake pops. It only takes a few minutes, and here you will get a brief step-by-step tutorial!
Step 1: Crumble The Cake In A Large Glass Bowl
Once you have taken the cake leftovers from the freezer, crumble them in a large glass bowl, then add some frosting (chocolate or any other flavor/two tablespoons). Blend the frosting with the cake until you get a homogenous blend.
Step 2: Scoop Up The Dough And Put It On The Baking Sheet
Using an ice-cream scoop, make sure to scoop up a small round piece of dough and then to carefully place it on a baking sheet (preferably wax paper). After that, get some long sticks (the ones you can find at candy supply store), dip them into chocolate and insert them right in the middle of the cake pops.
Step 3: Put Them In The Freezer
Once the cake pops are ready, put them in the freezer for 45 minutes. In the meantime, melt some chocolate, then take each cake pop and dip it in the chocolate!
Be gentle with the pops to make sure the cake will not come off the stick. Then add some colored sprinkles (or coconut, for that matter) to the cake pop, and then put it back in the freezer, just to allow it to harden up. Check out the Video tutorial below:
